Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Virtual Smart Home (VSH) service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Service Description
Virtual Smart Home is a Node-RED integration that enables control of virtual smart home devices through Amazon Alexa. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
3. Usage Limitations and Restrictions
Important Usage Guidelines
The Virtual Smart Home service is designed for personal use and is subject to the following restrictions:
- Usage is limited to human-triggered interactions with Alexa and infrequent device state synchronizations (e.g., sensor data updates)
- Automated or programmatic interactions that generate excessive data traffic are strictly prohibited
- Any attempt to circumvent these limitations may result in immediate account termination
4. Account Management
To maintain service quality and security, we implement the following account management policies:
- Devices inactive for 30 days will be permanently removed from the system
- Associated certificates will be invalidated and cannot be reused
- Accounts showing no activity for 60 days will be deactivated
- Deactivated accounts cannot be reactivated and will require new registration
5. Pro Plan Benefits
While the basic service is provided without warranty, we offer a Pro plan with enhanced features and support. We encourage satisfied users to consider upgrading to the Pro plan to support ongoing development and maintenance of the service.
6. Limitation of Liability
Virtual Smart Home and its developers are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service. This includes, but is not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the service or via email. Continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
